UNYSLA Local Area Social in Ithaca, 25 March

On Thursday March 25th at 4:30PM the Ithaca Area Local Area of the Upstate Chapter of the Special Libraries Association will meet at Kilpatrick’s Pub located at 130 East Seneca Street Ithaca NY.

Kilpatricks will extend Happy hour for anyone attending this function $2.00 12 oz drafts, $3 House wine and $4 Stoli, Tanquery and Jim Beam drinks. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The Upstate New York Chapter of SLA has three executive board positions open for the next term. These positions are President-Elect, Secretary, and Director, Membership & Recruitment.  Candidates for these positions are listed below along with brief, candidate-submitted biographies.

Three-year commitment (President-Elect 2010; President 2011; Past President 2012); leader of the Upstate New York Chapter.

Nominations for UNYSLA Executive Board (Deadline 12 August)

The Upstate NY Chapter of SLA is seeking candidates for the UNYSLA Executive Board. Candidates, once elected, will assume office on January 1, 2010.


Positions Available:

  • President-Elect (1-year term; 3-year commitment – The President-elect position will serve on the Executive Board for three years.  Year one is President-elect, then s/he assumes the position of President in year two, and in year three becomes Past President.)

The Upstate New York Chapter Member Merit Award was created to recognize individuals for outstanding achievement and service to SLA and the Chapter and honor chapter members with a record of distinguished service in the organization and the association. Nominees must be a current member in good standing the in the association currently OR hold membership for at least two consecutive years prior to the award date.
