Senior Archival Processing Clerk, City of Rochester

Position Summary:
The City of Rochester, NY, is seeking a candidate for a temporary part-time consulting job as a Senior Archival Processing Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing (removing staples and paperclips, unfolding pages, etc.), arranging, describing, and rehousing record series and collections totaling 240 cubic feet according to proposed standards and schemes under the day-to-day supervision of the City Historian. This work will be accomplished with the assistance of a Junior Archival Processing Clerk and two student interns; the successful candidate for Senior Archival Processing Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and supervising their work. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive finding aid including series, subseries, and collection descriptions, box and folder lists, and MARC records, for each of the records series and collections in the Office of the City Historian.
