New Member Profile: Roger Green

Roger Green has been a business librarian for the New York State Small Business Development Center Research Network, located in Albany, since October 19, 1992.

After getting his B.A. from SUC New Paltz, he ended up working at an Albany comic book store dealing with retail, mail order and publishing. After that, he was nagged to return to college, and he got his MLS from UAlbany in 1992. He has given presentations on a variety of topics including business library resources, NAICS codes and identity theft. Roger is avid blogger, he contributes to the blogs of the Research Network, the NYS Data Center Affiliates (for which he is the SBDC representative), the Friends of the Albany Public Library (for which he is Vice-President), plus two personal blogs, one housed on the site of the local newspaper, the Times Union. In September 2008, he co-presented at the ASBDC conference in Chicago with Amelia Birdsall on “Blogging with the SBDC – Implementing Web 2.0 Technologies at Your Center”.
