Resource Sharing and Reserves Associate – University at Albany, SUNY

(SUNY Professional title: Instructional Support Technician, SL-3)

The University at Albany Libraries (State University of New York, Albany, NY) seek a dynamic, creative, customer service, and detail-oriented professional to provide resource sharing and reserves services to the University at Albany academic community and library staff from other institutions. The successful candidate will oversee and participate in the day-to-day processing of interlibrary loan, document delivery, and reserves requests; serve as the primary contact to teaching faculty and students for electronic and physical course reserve services; determine if requested books and media should be considered for purchase using established collection development guidelines; assist users of interlibrary loan, document delivery, and reserves services in person, over the phone, and via email; manage the issuing of invoices for lost or damaged interlibrary loan materials and the payment of interlibrary loan invoices received from other institutions; assist with evaluating and improving departmental workflows; assist with marketing interlibrary loan, document delivery, and reserves services to faculty and students; and staff public service points as assigned. He/she reports to the Resource Sharing & Reserves Coordinator.
