Library Systems Administrator, SUNY Cortland

SUNY Cortland seeks applicants for an Library Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for: providing support and providing support and development for the ILS (Aleph) including responding to requests, tickets, installing of clients and developing modules used at SUNY Cortland; work collaboratively with the Help Center to administer Helpspot software; responsible for support and development of other library technologies such as Illiad, EZProxy and OCLC; develop, coordinate, and provide training in library technologies to library faculty and staff; provide support to web-based technologies including the portal and library website; serve as the liaison to SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center (ITEC), SUNY Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS) and other departments within Information Resources; collect and analyze data related to the library management system and other electronic services; develops documentation of library systems and software; remain competent and current of library technology through professional development and education. The position works closely with several key staff members from all departments in the library and several departments on campus to ensure that the integrity of the Library systems and its data are maintained.

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Several years professional working experience in a library environment; Familiarity with Library Management System Software; Interest and ability to learn new emerging technologies and their application to academic libraries.
