Monroe CC – Assistant Director

Monroe Community College is looking for a new assistant director.

The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Library Services and is a member of the Educational Technology Services (ETS) Library Services administrative team. This position provides leadership for building staff awareness of new and emerging technologies. The position will work to improve library services and workflow. The Assistant Director oversees access services and collection development that support the curriculum by collecting and providing authoritative information resources in formats that best meet user needs. The position works closely with ETS to assure that the library’s systems are fully integrated into the broader college computing network. The Assistant Director participates in daily library operations including reference, instruction, and liaison duties. This position provides leadership, planning, and supervision for circulation services, technical services, collection development, and inter-library loan staff. The Assistant Director promotes an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, personal initiative, and responsibility and encourages exploration and creativity. The position will also be responsible for building on existing and creating new campus partnerships.
