St. John Fisher College – Assessment & Online Program Librarian


  • Provide leadership in assessment from developing a program to communicating results.
  • This position is part of a team of librarians providing reference and instruction services to the campus community.
  • Guide online library instruction for students using the appropriate technology and methods of online pedagogy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assessment of library instruction and services by gathering data, preparing reports, monitoring progress, developing instruments, etc.
  • Participate in campus assessment activities, such as cooperating with other departments, working with campus assessment software, participating in committees.
  • Maintain currency with trends and developments in assessment.
  • Communicate with faculty and guide students in online and satellite programs and other programs as needed.
  • Provide reference assistance.
  • Collaborate with faculty on instruction and collection development by identifying opportunities for information literacy instruction, preparing appropriate lessons or tutorials, and ensuring students have access to the resources they need.
  • Depending on time, skills, and abilities, the Librarian may participate in Outreach, Digital Collections, Special Projects, professional development.
