Syracuse U – Copyright Librarian/Adviser

The Copyright Librarian/Adviser is the University Library’s chief resource and consultant on issues that span copyright, information policy, and University Library services and initiatives. The Copyright Librarian/Adviser develops the University Library’s copyright policies and coordinates their application to the University Library’s mission and its educational, research, pedagogical, and scholarly communication activities. The Copyright Librarian/Adviser’s responsibilities include reviewing, creating, implementing and discharging Library policy for all current and contemplated services; educating the University community and Library staff about copyright through Web-based information, publications, and training; monitoring, reporting and explaining legislative and international copyright and information policy developments that affect the Library and its services, programs or mission; and advising the University on copyright policy development affecting the academic programs of the University.
