Webinar on Insurance Industry Research

The Philadelphia Chapter of SLA is hosting a free webinar entitled:

Insurance Industry: Research and its Results

Thursday, November 15, 2012
6:00 to 7:30 PM EST

The insurance industry is in a state of flux.  Whether you work in the insurance industry or face the challenge of insurance-related research questions from your Human Resources Department and Employee Benefits Department, or a reference question from a walk-in patron who is confused by the intricacies of insurance laws, this is the session for you!  Learn from the experts how to tackle those inquiries that require knowledge of the insurance industry, delve into insurance financial considerations, and involve insurance legal research.

This session was presented at the SLA2012 Conference in Chicago this year and was well attended.  We are co-sponsoring this meeting with the SLA Legal Division and the SLA Insurance and Employee Benefits Division to make this session available to our chapter and members of the Legal and IEB Divisions, as well as members of local library associations and neighboring SLA Chapters.  For further information about the program content, read a review in the SLA Legal Division’s newsletter.
