SUNY Cortland – Applications Administrator

Job Description – Applications Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Applications Administrator will provide support and development of all Library IT services including the library management system (Aleph), Libguides, Library portal and website, EZProxy, Interlibrary loan software (Illiad) and OCLC.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum of two years professional working experience in an Information Technology environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year’s Library experience, especially working with Library Management System Software
  • Experience with EZ Proxy services, SQL report generation, web design, and other library based information technology services
  • Interest in emerging technologies and their application to academic libraries
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals
  • Effective interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
